Judges

Schools must provide judging sufficient to cover their entries. All judges must be available to judge through at least the first elimination round or 1 round past when their team is eliminated, whichever is later. Please have judges available for both days.

Policy Debate: One qualified judge per every 2 Policy Debate Teams.

Lincoln Douglas Debate: One qualified judge per every 3 LD entries (no partial covarge)

Public Forum: One qualified judge per every 3 two person public forum teams (no partial coverage)

A limited number of judges will be available for hire. Judges for LD and PF will cost $100 per covered entry and policy judges will cost $125 per covered entry. Thus, two LD debaters with no judge will incur a total of $200 in judge costs.

LD AND POLICY JUDGES MUST SUBMIT THEIR JUDGING PHILOSOPHIES TO: http://judgephilosophies.wikispaces.com/. A judge cannot be in the pool without a judging philosophy, and teams whose judges fail to provide philosophies will lose their MJP preferences. We will send out preference sheets prior to the tournament.
