Behavior Guidelines

We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment, intimidation, and other such behavior. If it happens once, you will be immediately removed from the tournament.

Contact Info: Samantha McLoughlin (smcloughlin1@hwemail.com), Tej Gedela (tgedela@gmail.com)

Adults: Your first priority should be making sure that the rounds are safe and educational for the students you judge. Any behavior that intimidates or harasses a student (or in any other way makes them uncomfortable), including but not limited to sexual harassment or other such comments, is absolutely unacceptable. As an adult in the community, your primary responsibility is the wellbeing of the students.

Students: If at any time, you feel uncomfortable, upset, or as if a coach/judge has violated the above policy, you can either Facebook Message, Discord DM, or email Samantha McLoughlin or Tej Gedela. We will also have an adult (Sheryl Kaczmarek) available to deal with issues if they arise. We realize reporting can be scary or upsetting, and can often be difficult, so we won’t share your identity with the perpetrator - the only person who will know is the original person who you report to. The only exception to this is extreme cases where sexual harassment or violence is involved, in which case reporting may be mandatory. We really hope to not have any problems but, if they arise, we hope everyone feels comfortable reaching out because our first priority is a safe and educational tournament for all students. This reporting procedure also applies to any issues you have with other students relating to sexual harassment, etc.
