Food ideas for KHSSL Junior

FRIDAY

Thoughts from a longtime coach now turned Executive Director for Friday:

If I had the capability to, I'd take my kids somewhere for an early lunch on the way to UK and (if possible) leave them with another adult, come register without them, and then go get them to go to campus. Or you could eat first and then come register (but be registered before 12 PM). Food off campus will likely be cheaper and easier to get in and out if you have a larger group.

If not, you are certainly welcome to eat on campus with the kiddos, but you will be competing with UK students for the spots, so it probably won't be quick. The nature of the beast when your event overlaps with the middle of a class day.

Evening, I'd just have my kids meet me for cake (served 6:30 to 8:30) in the 90 (so they won't starve and so they are all in one place easily) and then take them for real food on the way to the hotel.

If you do want to use campus dining, here are Friday Food Hours for places in the 90 Building:

* Biggest place is inside the building -- the FRESH FOOD COMPANY. There are several stations within the Fresh Food Company that include Athenian Grill, pizza featuring Smashing Tomato, salad bar, comfort, Taste of India, Atomic Ramen, and much more. All you can eat for admission price of $10.30 plus tax. Open 7 AM to 8 PM.
