Judging

Policy - 1 judge per 2 teams
Lincoln Douglas - 1 judge per 3 entries
Public Forum - 1 judge per 3 teams
Congress - 1 judge per 6 entries

Student Judges: Juniors/seniors with at least two full years of debate experience may judge novice. Highly qualified seniors (preferably with four years of policy debate experience) may judge JV policy. High school judges should NOT utilize the judges/coaches lounge which is for adult judges and coaches only. We appreciate you communicating this to your student judges prior to your arrival at our tournament.

Judging may be hired through the tournament at $50 per round in JV events, $35 per round in novice events, and/or $25 per entry for Congress. You must request hired judging.

We care about the quality of the judging panels at our tournament.  We will strive to use at least one adult per panel in elimination rounds. We would appreciate coaches making themselves available for these rounds.  Thanks!
