Divisions Defined

Schools are guaranteed their first 3 entries in each division. Adding extra judging will help you get more.

All entries are $8 per entry.

DCI Varsity - Contemporary Varsity Division for students interested in attempting to qualify for the Debate Coaches Invitational in January 2024. 5 Prelims, then QF's. Top 8 clear. Open entry. Judge Requirements apply. Judges must have paradigms.

KDC Varsity - Traditional Varsity Division for students interested in attempting to qualify for the Kansas Debate Classic in January 2024. 5 Prelims, then QF's. Top 8 clear. Open Entry. 1 Judge covers ALL entries in KDC/JV/N2Day/N1Day.

JV - For Junior Varsity Competitors in their 1st or 2nd year of HS competition. No argument restrictions. 5 Prelims, then QF's. Top 8 Clear. 1 Judge covers ALL entries in KDC/JV/N2Day/N1Day.

Novice 2 Day - For Novice Competitors in their First year of HS competition. Restricted to the NDCA Evidence Packet. 5 Prelims, then QF's. Top 8 Clear. 1 Judge covers ALL entries in KDC/JV/N2Day/N1Day. Entries that competed in the Friday portion of Novice 2 Day who finish Friday 0-3 will automatically be moved to Novice 1 Day starting Saturday morning to guarantee them 3 more debates since they are ineligible to clear in Novice 2 Day.

Novice 1 Day - For Novice Competitors in their First year of HS competition. Restricted to the NDCA Evidence Packet. 5 Prelims, Saturday Only. Entries that competed in the Friday portion of Novice 2 Day who finish Friday 0-3 will automatically be moved to Novice 1 Day starting Saturday morning to guarantee them 3 more debates since they are ineligible to clear in Novice 2 Day. Entries who finish 1-2 will have the option to move if the coach agrees via email on Friday night. Top 8 medal. 1 Judge covers ALL entries in KDC/JV/N2Day/N1Day.
