Hawk Invitational Meet 2023
Academics, Art, and Speech
All private and public schools are cordially invited to the Hawk Invitational Meet on February 25, 2023. This meet will take place at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic High School located at 235 Peterson Farm Rd. in Kerrville, TX. The meet will be kept small and limited to 24 students per event.
This meet will be conducted using contest rules from the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools. While some of the contests differ slightly from UIL contests with the same names, the content of each contest is the same and students from all schools will find this contest useful in preparation for official contests. Third party materials will be used.
-Registration will be in the Gym Foyer.
-Students will wait in the Gym or in the Courtyard.
-Concessions will open at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
-Hamburger lunch cooked onsite with chips, drink, and dessert will be available. Reservations requested.
-Hospitality Room open 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
First through third places will be recognized with medals and fourth through sixth with ribbons. Results will be announced throughout the day as contests conclude.
-This meet is intended as a learning opportunity so cross entries between speech events are allowed.
-Cross entries between speech events and academic or art events are allowed for an individual student under the following conditions.
-An individual student may begin an academic contest late if the scheduled contest room has not released.
-Otherwise, all students from that school will need to work with the tab room for an alternative testing time for that academic event.
-1 debate judge per 2 entries
-1 individual entry judge per 4 entries
-Monday, February 20th at 5 p.m.
-Drop Deadline – Wednesday, February 22nd at 5 p.m. – after this time, entry fees will be still be charged.
-Substitutions may be made at check-in.

-$8 per academic or art entry
-$12 per individual speech entry
-$15 per LD entry
-Missing LD Debate Judging Fee - $100
-Missing IE Judging Fee - $50
