Robert Sheard Excellence in Coaching Award

In 2016, the Durham Academy Speech & Debate Team established the Robert Sheard Excellence in Coaching Award. This award was established to recognize a coach at the tournament, who demonstrated continual success throughout their career in speech and debate. In addition to their success, we strive to recognize community members that strive to serve beyond their team. The recipient should be someone with not only a strong commitment to their team(s), but a strong commitment to speech and debate.
