Unaffiliated Entries

DEFINITION OF AN UNAFFILIATED ENTRY:A unaffiliated or "non-school" (also known as "independent," "club," or "academy") entry is any entry which does not meetbothof two important criteria:

1. Official sanctioning by the school in which they are primarily enrolled for degree-seeking purposes, such that attending the Stanford Invitational is fully an official school trip (not merely that the school provides a "non-objection to attendance" by the student(s) in question)
2. Accompaniment by a chaperone who is an employee of the school or is certified by the school to serve as a representative of the school in an official capacity (such as official district volunteer chaperone certification/approval)

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ARE LISTED BELOW: Every single student that attends via the unaffiliated entry mechanism (anything other than via a traditional school with official school chaperone) must submit both documents listed below. For the sake of clarity, every independent entry, homeschooled student, and "club" or "academy" participant is bound by this requirement.

1) Individual Waiver: The Individual Waiver requirement applies to everyone and is detailed on it's own page

• Every student attending the tournament must have their parent(s)/guardian(s) complete a copy of this document and upload it via Tabroom.com in advance of the tournament, no matter whether they attend as part of a School Entry or as an Unaffiliated Entry

2) Parent/Guardian Permission Letter: Unaffiliated Entry Parent Letter & instructions: open this document for step-by step instructions to complete the document digitally

By registering to attend the tournament, coaches agree that they are responsible for overseeing the completion of this requirement and understand that they will be asked to certify completion as a component of the final "on-site verification" or "e-registration" process.
