Judge Information

Hired Judges - If you are interested in being a paid judge at our tournament, you must email james.garzalong@boerneisd.net with a filled out copy of the Champion Judging Contract (it's attached on the right hand side - if you email Mr. Garza-Long he can send you one as well). Just registering on Tabroom is not sufficient as you need to fill out the contract to be paid by our district.


Information for Teams -

For the sake of transparency, we are explaining our formula for determining how many entries equals a required judge and our fees for missing judges for each event.

For IE/Congress/BQ:

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: We are combining IE, Congress, and Big Questions into a single combined judging pool. This means if you have an entry in any of these events and enter a judge in this judging pool, that judge may be assigned and is expected to judge ANY of these events.

We will be requiring teams to enter a judge for every 7 teams they enter or portion thereof. The fee for a missing judge in this pool will be $100.

For CX:

We will requiring teams to enter a judge for every 2 teams they enter or portion thereof. The fee for a missing judge for CX debate will be $150.

For PF:

We will be requiring teams to enter a judge for every 3 teams they enter or portion thereof. The fee for a missing judge for PF debate will be $100.

For LD:

We will be requiring teams to enter a judge for every 3 teams they enter or portion thereof. The fee for a missing judge for LD debate will be $100.

For Worlds:

We will be requiring teams to enter a judge for every 3 teams they enter or portion thereof. The fee for a missing judge for WSD debate will be $100.
