General Information

Entry Information:
There is an overall cap for a total of 140 students for this Tournament.

Each school may enter up to 6 students in total and can put an additional 2 on
the waitlist. If we have room, we will start moving students from the waitlist into
chambers October 30 th . (Yes, you may be able to bring 8 students with you)

Entry limits within each of the divisions
- Senate (max of 2 from each school)
- House
- Novice

Novice Chamber Competitions! Novice has two separate competition chambers both
will be in the afternoon. The Afternoon Novice Chambers act as their own
competitions with the Top 6 Receiving Awards in each Chamber.

Schools holding places with TBA names, will have those spots removed beginning
October 31st to allow registration of students on the waitlist.

- Awards to Top 6 in House and Senate.

- The Senate and House divisions will have a preliminary round in the morning and a
finals chamber in the afternoon.

Breaks will be announced by 1:00pm on Tabroom.com.

- Overall Sweeps Award to 1st Place School

- Every student advancing to Finals in the House and Senate earns a Medal

- Entry fee is $35 per student

- 1 judge required for every 1-4 entries.

5 -8 student entries = 2 judges

o 1-4 entries = 1 judge

o Each school must enter at least 1 judge.

o If your judge bails on your school the day of the tournament you will need to
pay the $150 missing judge fee prior to Finals Rounds for your students to
compete.

Senate Entry Information:
~ Each school can register 2 students for the Senate.
~ Awards to Top 6 (Top 6 get LARGE Specialty Gavels.)
~ Plaque to Top PO in Senate; can be in addition to a top 6 Place gavel.

House Entry Information:
~ Awards to Top 6 (Top 6 get Large Specialty Gavels.)
~ Plaque to Top PO in House; can be in addition to a top 6 Place gavel.

Novice Entry Information:
~ Must be a first year Forensics Student. To be clear, this means this is the students first year in
speech and debate, NOT first year doing Congressional Debate only.
~ There will be two Afternoon Competition Chambers.
~Awards to Top 6 in each chamber


Sweepstakes and Awards:
We will be using the following point system to determine sweepstakes:
1st Place – 15 points
2nd Place – 12 points
3rd Place – 10 points
4th Place – 8 points
5th Place – 6 points
6th Place – 4 points

All three divisions, Senate, House, Novice, will count towards overall point totals for sweeps.

We will be awarding a Top PO award in the Senate and House yet this distinction will not carry
any point value.
