Independent Entries and Novice Entries

Independent Entry Policy

The Bulldog Invitational WILL accept Independent Entries, as long as the entry has an adult chaperone, has met all other entry criteria, and has a completed school permission slip. Please contact Mr. Rankin at jrankin@bettschools.org for our permission slip and any additional questions you may have. This applies to degree granting institutions only. Thanks!

Novice Entries

Novice divisions are meant for 1st Year HS students in HS Speech/Debate activities. The Novice divisions are meant for first year students to gain experience before advancing to Varsity. We ask that coaches register their students in the appropriate division, based on this. If a student is in their 2nd/3rd/4th year of HS competition, they should be in a Varsity division. Thank you.
