Radio Broadcast Rules
Overview:
This is not a memorized event. The contestant will present a five-minute radio broadcast judged as if it were a live radio news program. Contestants are given instructions outlining required content such as news, sports, weather, and other segments.
Structure and Timing:

The broadcast must be exactly five minutes—no more and no less.

Content should be organized in a clear, logical sequence.

All required segments should be included and flow smoothly.
Performance Techniques:

Contestants must rewrite newswire, internet, and newspaper stories into broadcast-ready copy.
