Humorous Interpretation (HI) is a solo event where competitors deliver a comedic performance from a published literary source. The event emphasizes comedic timing, character development, and storytelling through dynamic delivery.
Structure and Timing:

Time limit: 10 minutes, with a 30-second grace period. If the speech time exceeds the grace period, the competitor cannot receive the rank of 1 in the round.
