Arrival and Parking Info: Rock Hill and Jones Middle

NOTE: The following arrival and parking information is for competition at ROCK HILL HS AND JONES MIDDLE SCHOOL. This is for competition on Thursday and Friday evening.

Hello Coaches, Judges, and Attendees,

As we approach the tournament, please carefully review the arrival and entry procedures for both campuses. It is extremely important that everyone follows these directions to ensure a smooth dismissal process and safe transition into our event spaces.

Please reference the attached parking maps for visual guidance: Jones and RHHS - March 12-13th

General Arrival Information (Both Campuses)

All attendees must enter from Coit Drive and turn onto Hardy Drive, which runs between Rock Hill High School and Jones Middle School. You will see A-frame signs directing you down Hardy Drive toward the appropriate back parking lots.

All tournament parking is located in the rear parking lots only.

You may not enter through the front entrances at either campus. If you do, you will be redirected to the back of the building. Please do not attempt to enter through any other exterior doors.

Both campuses operate on the same door alarm system as Jordan High School. If a door is propped or held open too long, it will trigger an alarm. Please do not prop or hold doors open for any reason.

Front entrances are active bus and dismissal zones beginning at 3:35 PM and must remain clear.

Rock Hill High School – Debate Events

If you are arriving for Rock Hill:

• Turn onto Hardy Drive
• Take a LEFT into the Rock Hill driveway leading to the rear parking lots
• Follow signage to the back cafeteria parking lot
• Park in the rear lot only
• Enter through the rear cafeteria doors

Rock Hill dismisses at 4:15 PM. We must allow at least 10 minutes for students and buses to clear before beginning tournament entry procedures.

If you arrive early to Rock Hill, you will be asked to remain in your vehicle until 4:25 PM. Doors at the rear cafeteria entrance will unlock at 4:25 PM. If you need to use the bathroom/arrive early please travel to the Gates of Prosper for food and shopping options. (The Gates Of Prosper)

Do not enter through the front circle drive or main entrance before 5:00 PM. If you enter through the front, you will be redirected.

After 4:45 PM, overflow parking may begin moving toward the front lot as indicated on the map, but entry will still occur through the rear cafeteria doors.

The rest of the parking lots can be accessed after 5 pm, please allow our staff and student drivers to clear out of those lots.

Jones Middle School – Speech Events

If you are arriving for Jones:

• Turn onto Hardy Drive
• Take a RIGHT into the Jones Middle School driveway
• Continue driving toward the back parking lot
• Park in the rear lot only
• Enter through the glass doors near the gyms

The Jones dismissal zone is active from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM. Please do not use the front parking lot off Prestwick Holw Dr., that is where buses pick-up.

Doors will unlock at 3:45 PM. Entry for the 5:00 PM start time will begin at 4:00 PM.
