Schedule for Saturday, January 31

7:30-7:45 am Registration/Coach check-in at TAB.

8:00-8:15 am Coaches take team roll call and all drops are due at 8:15am. Any drops or no shows after this time will be assessed a $5 late fee.

8:15 am Judge instructions
All judges must be in the judges' room no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of each round for which they are expected to be available.

8:30 am Round 1

10:30 am Round 2

12:30 pm Judge instructions (for "shift 2")

1:00 pm Round 3/Congress Semifinals (if needed)

4:00 pm Round 4/Congress Finals

6:00 pm Awards

All debaters will compete in all four rounds. Lincoln-Douglas rounds will be double-flighted, meaning two debates will take place in one room, one following the other. The first two to debate will be Flight 1, and the second two to debate will be Flight 2.

Congress will hold two preliminary rounds, with the top 30 competitors advancing to a third/semifinal round (if number of entries meets the threshold), and the top 15 competitors in each division advancing to a fourth/final round. A semi-final round may be held only if there are 60 or more entries. If there are fewer than 60 entries, a third preliminary round will be held.

Awards will start as soon as all results are recorded and tabulated.
