Winter 2025 Last Chance Async

2025 — Online, AR/US

Judge Requirements

The Winter 2025 Last Chance Async exists with a clear instructional purpose: to provide students with substantive, actionable feedback at the end of the Winter season. As a result, judging is the cost of entry rather than a monetary fee. Schools must provide one judge for every four entries, and each judge is required to complete two preliminary rounds and three out-rounds, with a minimum of 120 words of written feedback per ballot. Judges must list both an email address and phone number in Tabroom. Judges will be notified when rounds are paired and will receive reminder messages every two days leading up to the final ballot deadline. Judges are expected to acknowledge receipt of their assignment; if no confirmation is received, the school will be contacted and given the opportunity to replace the judge before the deadline. Because this is a free tournament, failure to respond to both an email and a phone call will result in forfeiture of that replacement opportunity. If judging obligations are not completed by the deadline, entries from the school the judge represents will be dropped or disqualified. This structure ensures fairness, accountability, and—most importantly—that every student receives the high-quality feedback this tournament is designed to deliver.
