Speech Breakpoints and Break Levels

We expect to break to the following levels for each of the following event:

• Finals of the Top 6 or 7: DI*, Duo, HI*, IX, POI, USX
• Semis of the Top 10 to 14: Info, OO^

*Events marked with an asterisk may break to a Semifinal

^Events marked with an asterisk may break to a Semifinal of 15 - 21.

Breakpoints are below:

-Dramatic Interp breaks to a semi final (cumulative rank of 16 needed to break)

-Duo Interp breaks to a final (cumulative rank of 14 needed to break)

-Humorous Interp breaks to a semi finals (cumulative of 15 needed to break)

-Informative breaks to semi finals (cumulative rank of 14 needed to break)

-International Extemp breaks to finals (cumulative rank of 10 needed to break)

-US Extemp breaks to finals (cumulative rank of 11 needed to break)

-Original Oratory breaks to semi finals (cumulative rank of 13 needed to break)

-Program of Oral Interp beaks to finals (cumulative rank of 14 needed to break)
