Protest and BIA forms

Below are the forms for the Belong & Inclusion Advocate and for any Rules Protests

BIA INTAKE FORM

PROTEST FORM

BIA intake forms will be reviewed by Masey Hammons, our Belonging and Inclusion Advocate. Any person at the tournament may complete an intake form if they feel uncomfortable about something that may have occurred at the tournament. Dr. Hammons may decide that a conversation with stakeholders is sufficient. She may also decide that some other consequence may be appropriate and can refer the matter to the District Chair and Committee.

Protest forms are for specific allegations of an NSDA rules violation where someone seeks a remedy. If a student is alleging that someone broke a rule, their coach must complete the form. Judges may also complete a form if something happened in the round. Protests are routed to the District Chair and reviewed by the District Committee to determine a course of action. Decisions by the Committee are potentially appealable to the NSDA, and they have individuals on call for us to contact if necessary.
