NPDA Topic Areas

The first half of the NPDA swing will use the below topic areas:

Topic Area #1. The United States Federal Government should reorient its international strategy in the direction of economic multilateralism.

The United States Federal government should increase cooperation with the People's Republic of China on economic operations in the Panama Canal.

The United States Federal Government should adopt a policy guided by the G20's Financial Stability Board to decrease the risk of global economic crisis.

The United States should co-operate with the African Development Bank to increase investment in digital public goods for developing nations.

The United States should co-operate with Taiwan to decrease the exposure of Taiwan’s semiconductor market.

Topic Area #2. Social movements should preserve remnants of old regimes over total abolition.

The Gen Z Alliance Group of Nepal, and other allied groups should preserve all or nearly all of Nepal’s republican constitution when establishing a new government.

The Party for Socialism and Liberation should co-operate with the Democratic Party of the United States.

Gen Z Mada should work with the Rajoelina government to hold democratic elections.

This house should fly The Jolly Roger of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Topic Area #3. This house believes that normative reason (e.g. analytical ethics) should be prioritized over negative critique.

This house believes critique should propose constructive visions of a better society.

This house believes the postmodern project has significantly dismantled emancipatory politics.

This house believes universal claims about justice can emerge via critique.

This house should adopt a theory of lack over a theory of abundance.

Topic Area #4. The United States Federal Government should significantly reform its environmental policy.

The United States Federal Government should decarbonize the United States of America.

This house believes a deep ecology is a preferable environmental strategy to conservationism.

The United States Federal Government should substantially increase enforcement of the Clean Water Act throughout the USA.

The United States Federal Government should pass a policy to restore the Great Salt Lake.
