This House supports a binding international treaty to govern the equitable management and distribution of transboundary water resources.

Transboundary water resources are bodies of water such as rivers, lakes, and aquifer that cross or are shared by national borders. Examples include the Indus River, the Nile River, the Mekong River, and the Colorado River.
At present, most transboundary water management relies on regional or bilateral agreements, which vary widely in strength and enforcement. A binding international treaty would establish global legal obligations for states to cooperate in the use, conservation, and distribution of these shared resources.

Round 5 Prepared Motion

This House believes that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) should focus more on solving problems on Earth than exploring outer space.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is India’s national space agency, known for major achievements like the Chandrayaan (moon) and Mangalyaan (Mars) missions, and the successful Chandrayaan-3 landing near the lunar south pole. ISRO has also developed satellites for communication, navigation, weather forecasting, and disaster management.
