Congressional Debate:

Semifinals:

The Top 4 Speakers in each Chamber advanced to the Semifinal Round. It took the following rankings to advance per each chamber, with all ranks higher than 9th truncated to a "9".

Chamber 1: Clean break at a cumulative ranking of 47 or lower.
Chamber 2: Clean break at a cumulative ranking of 52 or lower.
Chamber 3: Three debaters advanced with a cumulative ranking of 50 or lower. There were two debaters tied at a cumulative ranking of 51 for 4th place. One debater advanced on a 7-5 judge preference.
Chamber 4: Clean break at a cumulative ranking of 39 or lower.
Chamber 5: Clean break at a cumulative ranking of 49 or lower.
Chamber 6: Clean break at a cumulative ranking of 53 or lower.

Finals:

Breaks to the Final Round are CLEAN. Placement is solely determined based on the ranks in the previous (Semifinal) round.

The Top 6 Speakers in each Chamber advanced from the Semifinal Round to the Final Round. It took the following rankings to advance per each chamber, with all ranks higher than 9th truncated to a "9".

Chamber 1: Five debaters advanced with a cumulative ranking of 30 or lower. There were two debaters tied at a cumulative ranking of 31 for 6th place. One debater advanced on a 3-2 judge preference.
Chamber 2: Clean break at a cumulative ranking of 30 or lower.

Speech:

Elimination Round 1:

In ALL Speech rounds, any rank worse than 5th shall be truncated to a "5". In addition, an overtime violation adds a rank of "1" to the overall cumulative ranking and reciprocal. For example, if a student scores 1st, 4th, and 5th, and goes overtime in the Round where they received 1st, the "1" in the Round becomes a "2", effectively making their cumulative ranking an 11, instead of 10.

Declamation: The Top 18 advanced to a Semifinal Round. 16 speakers advanced with a cumulative ranking of 8 or lower. There was an eight-way tie for 17th place. Two out of the eight speakers tied advanced with at least one rank of "1st".

Dramatic Interpretation: The Top 7 advanced to a Final Round. Five speakers advanced with a cumulative ranking of 7 or lower. There was a three-way tie for 6th place with a cumulative ranking of 9. One out of the three speakers tied advanced with at least one rank of "1st". Another of the three speakers tied advanced with at least two ranks of "2nd".

Duo Interpretation: The Top 7 advanced to a Final Round. Six teams advanced with a cumulative ranking of 11 or lower. There was a four-way tie for 7th place with a cumulative ranking of 12. One out of the four teams tied advanced with at least one rank of "2nd".

Extemporaneous Speaking: The Top 7 advanced to a Final Round. Four speakers advanced with a cumulative ranking of 7 or lower. There was a four-way tie for 5th place with a cumulative ranking of 8. Two out of the four speakers tied advanced with at least one rank of "1st". Another of the remaining two speakers tied advanced with at least two ranks of "2nd".

Humorous Interpretation: The Top 14 advanced to a Semifinal Round. Nine speakers advanced with a cumulative ranking of 9 or lower. There was a nine-way tie for 10th place with a cumulative ranking of 10. Five out of the ten speakers tied advanced with at least one rank of "1st".

Impromptu Speaking: The Top 28 advanced to a Quarterfinal Round. It was a clean break at a cumulative ranking of 9 or lower.

Informative Speaking: The Top 14 advanced to a Semifinal Round. 13 speakers advanced with a cumulative ranking of 9 or lower. There was a five-way tie for 14th place with a cumulative ranking of 10. One out of the five speakers tied advanced with at least one rank of "1st", at least one rank of "4th", and at least one NONTRUNCATED rank of "5th".
