Extemp questions for Novice AND Open are the SAME and will be directly posted ON THIS DOCUMENT at the respective draw time. Please wait for your speaker number to be posted. Novice and Open will have the same questions. If you are LATE to viewing your questions, you have 30 minutes from the time the questions were posted, NOT when you have arrived. You will NOT have extra Prep.
Those double entered should speak early in one event and late in their other event. ALWAYS watch your time and prioritize Extemp Prep Time as you will not be given extra time if you are late.
You may ONLY prep by yourself. Prepping with a coach, judge, parent, peer, teammate, etc. shall result in disqualification from the Tournament. You may prep anywhere on campus.
Cross entries in Debate and Congress will be placed to speak in a prime speaking position to maximize their Prep Time in Extemp. If it is necessary to leave your Congress or Debate Round early, please do so as you will NOT receive extra Prep Time.
Please also ensure you have the correct speaking order and are looking at the CORRECT set of questions. Speakers who prep from the wrong set of questions, intentionally or unintentionally, risk forfeiting that specific round.
