Congress Legislation (Updated 11/23)
In recognition of feedback we have received regarding the amount of legislation to prepare for, we have narrowed the legislative packet to a set of 3 bills for each preliminary session, and 2 bills each for semifinals and finals.
We believe that given the time that our tournament falls (often with many exams following our tournament), and to avoid many of the lobbying practices that often happens in congress, that this is the most fair and equitable adjustment to congressional debate.
In Preliminary Sessions, students will debate the following:
Session 1 - Bills 1-3 of the packet
Session 2 - Bills 4-6 of the packet
