Paying Judge Fines

Judge fines can be paid using this link: https://ci.uky.edu/debate/fees

• For the tournament, choose Digital Speech and Debate Series #1: December 5-7

A reminder about judge fines:

• These are avoidable.
• Every missed prelim round will incur a $100 fine.
• Every missedelim round will incur a $150 fine.
• Ensure judge conflicts and judge eligibility are followed. Those incur a $500 fine.
• A team/program's judges are obligated in elim rounds when applicable. Ensure every coach, competitor, and judge understands the judge obligations posted in the tournament invitehere, here, and here.
• An example: Jane Doe attends Red High School and her parent is judging. Jane Doe is eliminated from LD in prelims. However, Jack Sprat also attends Red High School and makes it to quarterfinals in LD. Jane Doe's parent is still obligated to be available to judge through semifinals.The judge follows the team/program they are registered under,not their own individual student.
