Belonging & Inclusion Statement – Grapevine Classic
At the Grapevine Classic, we want every participant to feel safe, supported, and valued. Our tournament and tab staff reflect a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and we are committed to creating an environment rooted in fairness, respect, and care for all—students, judges, coaches, and guests alike.
If you have a concern about harassment, discrimination, or an interaction that makes you feel uncomfortable, the Belonging & Inclusion form is the best place to start. Submitting the form lets us know you’d like support. The adult/coach should work with their student to complete and submit the form. Once it’s received, Aaron Timmons will be your first point of contact, and he’ll work with other trained staff to listen, provide guidance, and, when needed, help address the situation.
Students must bring a coach or other supportive adult with them when meeting with the Belonging & Inclusion team. This helps make sure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.
Finally, just a note: Belonging & Inclusion concerns are different from competitive rules issues. If your concern is about a rules violation under the Texas Forensic Association’s constitution, please use the Rules form instead of the Belonging & Inclusion form.
