Event Info

Cross-entries:

Students may compete in Congress + Extemp. Otherwise, cross-entries are not allowed. CDA Students will select events and assemble teams (where necessary) in classes.

Debate:

Entries will debate in all 4 rounds. Awards will be decided on total wins and speaker points.

Congress:

Each student will be allowed to speak once per hour.Awards will be based on cumulative ranks.

Extemp:

Students will draw 3 topics, be given 35 minutes to prepare, and may use 1 note card (3" x 5").

Students will compete in both rounds. Awards will be based on cumulative ranks.

Oral Interpretation:

Individual students may perform Prose, Poetry, Humorous, Dramatic, Oratory, or Informative and will all be grouped together.

HI, DI, OO and INFO will have 10 minutes time limits. PR and PO will have 7 minutes with 30 seconds grace.
