Debate Tournament Procedures
For our 2025 qualifier, we will be employing the NSDA's option for a single-elimination bracketed tournament with four preliminary rounds.
All debaters will compete in four preliminary rounds, after which all debaters/teams with prelim records of 4-0 or 3-1 will advance to a single-elimination bracket.
We will use three-judge panels in all rounds of all debate events.
Speaker points will be awarded in tenths of points.
We will use the prelim round seeding method to determine the ranking of alternates.
