Script/Speech Expectations--PLEASE READ

It is the affirmative duty of coaches and competitors to have current scripts for Interp and Platform events available at all times.

A Works Cited page in MLA format should accompany ALL scripts/speeches.

Platforms (Oratory/Informative):

In Informative & Oratory events, quoted words should be clearly marked, cited, and counted. 

Interpretation:

In Interpretation events, both a complete performance script with quoted words and introductions clearly marked and original scans/printed pages with used portions highlighted should be available. An MLA Works Cited page should be included for each interpretation source.

POI-Specific Expectations

In POI, both a complete performance script with transitions between pieces, introduction, and genres clearly marked, and original scans/printed pages with used portions highlighted should be available. At least 2 works from at least 2 of the 3 possible genres  (Drama, Poetry, and Prose) must be included in a POI.
