Pittsburgh District
2025 — PA/US
Pittsburgh District Qualifier
for the 2025 National Tournament
Logistics for Saturday at Seton LaSalle
Please note the following details for competition in the NSDA congress qualifiers that will be held at Seton LaSalle HS on Saturday March 15.
1- Registration will be between 7:30 and 8:00 AM on Saturday.
2- Registration will be in the main office of Seton LaSalle. Please see Jess Cerchiaro when you have arrived with all of our contestants and judges.
3- Alison McBee will be collecting all of your paperwork -- remember that you need signed school consent forms AND single letters of intent for students who have entered more than one event. Please PRINT these out and bring them with you; give them to Alison.
4 - Paul Beer will be collecting your registration fees.
5- There will be a judge meeting for all congress judges as soon as the last school is registered. Sessions will begin immediately after that meeting ends.
6- Please remember to tell your students that in order to "count" as one of our entries in congress, they will need to speak at least one time. The number of qualifiers is determined by the number of entries, so this is a critical rule that your students must follow.
7 - A tentative time schedule has been set so that the first session will be in the morning, then lunch around 11:30 (later if rounds start late). The second session of the Senate and the Super Session of the House will happen after lunch and will end at approximately 3:15. These times will be confirmed on Saturday.
Please remember that Seton LaSalle is hosting the freshman-sophomore tournament at the same time as they host this qualifier. Please be respectful of the frosh-soph schedule and use of the building as the day proceeds.
