If you plan to enter students into the LD or PFD portion of the District tournament, please have these students registered by Monday, February 17 since Monday, February 24, begins the online competition.
Judges for the online debates must also be entered into Tabroom under the District Tournament by Friday, February 21.We must have judges for all 4 rounds that take place on Monday and Tuesday. Please consider providing LD judges if you have PFD teams and vice versa. Please consider asking people you know in other locations that would be willing to judge online.
Here is the tentative schedule we used in the past:
- Monday, February 24 - Round 1 5:30-6:30 pm LD and PFD - online
- Monday, February 25 - Round 2 6:45-7:45 pm LD and PFD - online
- Tuesday, February 25 - Round 3 5:30-6:30 pm LD and PFD - online
- Tuesday, February 25 - Round 4 6:45-7:45 pm LD and PFD - online
- Thursday, February 27 - Debate Elims, as needed online
Things to consider:
- We MUST have judges for the online rounds. Please enter all judges into the SC District tournament in Tabroom.
- We must have at least 4 entries and at least 2 schools in each event in order for an event to be held.
- ALL schools that want to be considered for World Schools must have Single Intent forms filled out by Monday, February 24, before any debate rounds begin. Filling out this form lets the committee know you have a student that is interested in being considered for the team.
- Any student that participates in more than one event (including Congress) must have s Single Intent form filled out BEFORE rounds begins (on Monday, if Debate and on Friday, if Speech)

LD
Resolved: The United States ought to become party to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and/or the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
PFD
Resolved: The United States should accede to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
