Olle Owl Middle School Invitational
2025 — Houston, TX/US
Awards (Updated on February 17, 2025)
Event Awards
We will have an awards ceremony Saturday evening.
In most individual events and Congressional Debate, entries finishing first, second, or third will receive a trophy. Remaining finalists will receive medals. In duet events, both partners will receive these awards.
In group events (readers theatre and lip sync), all finalists will receive medals in lieu of trophies. This allows us to present an award to every student whose group reaches the final round.
In Lincoln-Douglas and public forum debate, finalists and semifinalists will receive trophies. Quarterfinalists will receive medals.
In world schools debate, finalists, semifinalists, and quarterfinalists will receive medals. This allows us to present an award to every student whose group reaches the elimination rounds.
Finally, we will award top speaker trophies in Lincoln-Douglas, public forum, and world schools debate based on speaker points in preliminary rounds. In world schools debate, students must speak in all three preliminary rounds to be eligible for the top speaker award.
Sweepstakes Awards
We will have a large school sweepstakes division for schools with more than 100 entries and a small school sweepstakes division for schools with fewer than 100 entries.
