Entry Qualifications
QUALIFYING TO VARSITY STATE
GFCA Member Schools may enter up to four entries in each of Policy, Public Forum, and Lincoln Douglas, eight entries in Congress, and six entries in each speech event at the Varsity Speech & Debate State Championship. Entries must have attended at least two invitationals that meet State Championship minimum entry requirements hosted by schools in Georgia. (3.2.2.1)

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
Each school must submit a School Eligibility Form (one per school). The completed form should be uploaded to Tabroom.
SPEECH PIECE INFORMATION
Each piece should put their speech title into Tabroom.com to allow a double check for the judge. It is the affirmative duty of each coach and each student entered in Interpretation contests to determine absolutely that the cutting being performed meets all rules for material. Interp source material must be available at the State Championship in the event of a protest. The original published source of any selection used must be immediately available at the State Championship. When requested by tournament officials, access to the source material upon demand, either in electronic or print form, must be presented. (2.5.4)
Additionally, speech coaches should use the Speech Topics section to provide judge advance notice of any content warnings that my be needed for their speeches.
CANCELING DIVISION NOTICE
At the Varsity Speech & Debate State Championship, if registration closes and the division has not met this requirement, the event will be offered during the Supplemental Asynchronous Forensic Activity. The event will forfeit its points in its respective sweepstakes formula. If the event still does not meet the minimum entry requirements, the event will be canceled. (3.1.3.1.2)
