Speech Schedule - Sunday

SUNDAY SCHEDULE: INDIVIDUAL EVENTS

All Judges need to press START ROUND within 5 minutes of receiving the round blast. During the round, judges are required to put accurate times for each speech on the ballot. Please make sure you are timing every speaker and recording the exact times before submitting your ranks. Do not stop a student from speaking if they go over time.

Event timing

Impromptu - 5 min & 30 seconds grace period (only mark a violation if over 5:30)
Extemp (IX or NX) - 7 min & 30 seconds grace period (only mark violation if time is over 7:30)
All other events - 10 min & 30 seconds grace period (only mark violation if time is over 10:30)

7:40 a.m. Extemp Meeting

8:00 a.m.ALL judges report to Judge Lounge for Orientation and specific instructions for the State Quals tournament.

8:00 a.m. Round 1 Extemp Prep begins

8:30 a.m. Round 1 Begins

10:15 a.m. Round 2 Extemp Prep begins

10:15 a.m. Round 2 Judge Standby begins. If you did not receive a blast, please head to Judge Lounge.

10:30 a.m. Round 2 Begins. Extemp will begin at 10:45 a.m.

12:00 p.m. Round 3 Extemp Prep begins

12:00 noon Round 3 Judge Standby begins. If you did not receive a blast, please head to Judge Lounge.

12:15 p.m. Round 3 Begins. Extemp will begin at 12:30 p.m.

1:45 p.m. Lunch

2:30 p.m. ALL judges report to Judge Lounge

2:30 p.m. Semi-Final Extemp Prep Begins

3:00 p.m. Semi-Final Round Begins

6:00 p.m. (Hopefully!) Awards.
