POLICY DEBATERS will debate the 2017-2018 high school resolution.  There are no limitations on arguments.

Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its funding and/or regulation of elementary and/or secondary education in the United States.

LINCOLN-DOUGLAS DEBATERS will debate the JANUARY/FEBRUARY topic. 

Resolved: Plea bargaining ought to be abolished in the United States criminal justice system.

PUBLIC FORUM DEBATERS will debate the MARCH topic.

Resolved: On balance, the current Authorization for Use of Military Force gives too much power to the president.

LEGISLATIVE DEBATERS will debate legislation submitted by schools attending.  Please submit legislation by March 14th. It should be emailed to johnson.megan@iowacityschools.org.
