Congress Addendum

A​ ​Bill​ ​to​ ​Allow​ ​Nonviolent​ ​Felons​ ​the​ ​Right​ ​to​ ​Vote 

 BE​ ​IT​ ​ENACTED​ ​BY​ ​THE​ ​CONGRESS​ ​HERE​ ​ASSEMBLED​ ​THAT:

Section 1:​​ ​Nonviolent​ ​felons​ ​shall​ ​hereby​ ​be​ ​able​ ​to​ ​vote​ ​after​ ​completing​ ​their​ ​sentence.

Section 2: A​ ​nonviolent​ ​felon​ ​shall​ ​be​ ​defined​ ​as​ ​someone​ ​who​ ​has​ ​been​ ​convicted​ ​of​ ​a​ ​crime​ ​in which​ ​the​ ​victim​ ​did​ ​not​ ​suffer​ ​physical​ ​damage.

Section 3:​​ ​The​ ​Department​ ​of​ ​Justice​ ​will​ ​oversee​ ​the​ ​enforcement​ ​of​ ​this​ ​legislation. Whereas:​ ​​This​ ​legislation​ ​will​ ​go​ ​into​ ​effect​ ​January​ ​1,​ ​2020.

Section 4:​​ ​All​ ​laws​ ​in​ ​conflict​ ​with​ ​this​ ​legislation​ ​are​ ​hereby​ ​declared​ ​null​ ​and​ ​void.                                                         ​

A​ ​Bill​ ​to​ ​Curb​ ​Gun​ ​Violence

Where as:​ 13,286 people were killed in the US by firearms in 2015, according to the Gun Violence Archive.

Where as​: Cheap ammunition promotes gun violence.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

Section 1: ​A Tax of $5,000 for each round of ammunition shall be levied.

Section 2: ​ ​This legislation will go into effect January 1, 2020.

Section 3: ​ All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
