THIS PAGE HAS TWO PARTS:
- General procedures and getting help
- Trouble-shooting
(1) GENERAL PROCEDURES AND GETTING HELP
Technical problems are preventing me from accessing my round!
- Email Tabroom.Issues@gmail.com
- Judges - You can come back to the judge lounge
A competitor is having technical problems
- Tech time: If a competitor has technical issues in your round, that team (in Public Forum or Policy) or entry (in Lincoln Douglas) has a total of 10 minutes of tech time for the round.
- Email Tabroom.Issues@gmail.com
- Judges - You can also come back to the judge lounge.
(2) TROUBLE-SHOOTING
Use the Google Chrome browser
-
The tournament will use NSDA Campus/tabroom.com for all rounds. The system runs in Google Chrome, and that’s it. All competitors and judges will need Chrome.
-
Installation instructions arehere.
Test your setup to be sure you can access the NSDA Campus video platform
-
See instructions here.
-
As part of the test, be sure that NSDA Campus can access your camera and microphone.
Restart your browser each day to avoid connection issues
-
Our best advice to solve connection issues is to start each tournament day with a browser restart (not closing a tab, closing the full browser).
-
Still have problems? Clear your cookies. Instructions are here.
-
If you have a finicky computer, try restarting the entire system before rounds.
Does your WiFi appear to be slow?
-
If so, please go to fast.com to check out your system’s speed (Mbps - megabits per second). If the number on the screen is less than 5 Mbps, please move closer to your router or hardwire your computer into the internet.
-
If the issue persists, you may need to restart your router or modem, or contact your Internet Service Provider.
