Dear Directors of Forensics, Coaches, and Students
On behalf of Holy Cross School, Headmaster William J. Gallagher, and the Brother Aiden O’Reilly C.S.C. Debating Society we invite you and your team to the 2022 Navy and Old Gold Debate and Speech Exhibition featuring the Dr. Joseph H. Murry Debates and the Byron R. Arthur, Esq. Novice Debates to be held on Friday, September 23rd and Saturday, September 24th.
The tournament will consist of competition in Varsity and Novice Policy Debate, Varsity and Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate, Varsity and Novice Public Forum Debate, and Legislative Debating. Speech competition will be held in Oral Interpretation of Literature, Program Oral Interpretation, Oratorical Declamation, Original Oratory, Dramatic Interpretation, Informative Speaking, Humorous Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, and Extemporaneous Speaking.
We are so happy to be in person again! We look forward to hosting you on our beautiful campus in September. Please see tournament website for hotel blocks and other options.
We appreciate the consistent support that we have received through the years and as such our tournament has continued to grow in quality and quantity. The tournament is a qualifier for the Tournament of Champions in Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum, and Speech.
The Holy Cross Navy and Old Gold Debate and Speech Exhibition will not be considering independents for entry. Please ensure your coach or other adult representative signs you up through your school and that you can meet the judging requirement or can hire rounds.
