Little Lex in Conjunction With the NYCFL

2021 — NSDA Campus, MA/US

Last Official Email of Information (Maybe)

Hi Friends!

I think/hope/believe that Tabroom's war with Google is temporarily over and therefore expect that you will all get this message. Just to be safe, I will also post it on the Tabroom Main Page for our tournament and reference it in the Live Doc (located on the Tabroom Main Page, and very useful). So, here are the things you need to know:

1) We do not expect calls from ANY schools tomorrow morning unless you have changes after Online Check In has closed, or if you have judge changes that cannot be solved by doing Online Check-In. Even then, I would prefer text messages to 845-541-6242 stating the name of the school and the dropped students, or emails to the helpline mentioned in the Live Doc. You may drop your own students up to 7:15 EST Saturday morning (you still owe us the fees), but judge replacements should be texted or emailed to the help line as soon as you know about them (Name of School/Judge to Remove/Judge to Add). All schools do need to press the BIG RED CONFIRM button and go through the steps that follow pressing that button not later than 7:15 a.m. on Saturday.

2) We have enough judges, as long as everyone checks in and is responsive when sent a ballot, but we don't have so many judges that folks should expect rounds off. In PF and LD you will be judging a maximum of five single flights, and while that seems like a lot, they are spaced out far enough to give you snack/screen breaks. In Policy there are four rounds. Please PUSH THE START BUTTON as soon as you receive your ballot and please push the camera icon to enter your NSDA Campus room NOT LATER THAN 10 minutes BEFORE the official start time. Judges can/will be fined and replaced for not pushing start or for not being in their assigned rooms by the specified time because we can only guarantee breaks if people start and end their rounds on time.

3) Schedules, procedures and other helpful information is available in the Live Doc and Updates will be made as needed throughout the tournament. We will post the Zoom Link to the judge's lounge first thing Saturday, as soon as we know it works and is staffed. Judges are not required to be in the lounge, but if you are worried about missing an assigned ballot or a pushed ballot, or have general or specific questions, the virtual lounge is the place to be. Thanks to Tim Averill and PJ Wexler for providing answers and friendly faces in the lounge!

4) At the close of the day, we will have a short (LIVE by Zoom) awards assembly using a Zoom Link to be shared later. All students with winning records will receive medals in the mail a few weeks after the tournament. Our trophy company is having supply chain issues so it might be the middle of December, but we promise to send you the medals your students have won as soon as we get them.

5) Please don't use my personal email for urgent information once the tournament begins. I will not have the chance to check it as quickly as folks will check our tournament helpline. Please only text my phone or email the helpline with all of your during the tournament questions.

We look forward to hosting you virtually tomorrow and in person in 2022!
