The Bolton High School Speech and Debate Squad extends an invitation to you to participate in the Thirty-Eighth Annual Bolton High School Forensics Tournament to be held on November 10-11, 2017.

     Cross Examination Debate will be offered in Advanced, and Novice divisions.  Lincoln-Douglas Debate will be offered in Advanced, and Novice divisions. Oral Interpretation and Extemporaneous Speaking will be offered in Junior and Senior divisions.   Original Oratory, Declamation, Impromptu Speaking, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Program Oral Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, and Duet Acting will be offered in open divisions.  Student Congress will be offered for anyone already participating in the tournament.  All rules and regulations of the L.H.S.S.L. will be strictly enforced.

        We hope to see you all on November 10.  Please be advised that we are running 3 rounds of debate on Friday.  We will be honored by your presence and will do everything possible to insure a quality tournament for your participation.

 CX Topic:  Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its funding and/or regulation of elementary and/or secondary education in the United States.

LD Topic:  Resolved: Wealthy nations have an obligation to provide development assistance to other nations.

PF Topic:  Resolved: The United States should require universal background checks for all gun sales and transfers of ownership.
