Champlin Park Invitational

The Champlin Park Debate Team is thrilled to host a tournament for Public Forum (PF), Lincoln-Douglas (LD), and Congressional Debate (CD) on Saturday, October 28.

We will have five rounds of novice, JV, and varsity PF and LD debate, as well as a Congress session and a Super Congress/Consolation session.  We will be debating the November NSDA topics and legislation for Congress from the MDTA pool will be available by Thursday, October 19th.  Detailed (tentative) schedules are posted below.

Registration will be from 7:30-8:15 and rounds will begin at 8:30.  Awards are estimated for 3:30.  Please make sure your bus arrives by 8:15 so we can run schedules at 8:30. If you would like to call in to confirm your registration on the morning of, please call Zachary Wefel at 612.234.1631 or e-mail at zacharywefel@gmail.com

The cost of registration is $15 for each Public Forum team, $10 for each LD debater, and $5 for each Congressional debater. You must provide one judge for every 2 PF teams or fraction thereof. You must provide one judge for every 2 LD debaters or fraction thereof. You must provide one judge for judge/scorer/parliamentarian for every 6 congressional debaters or fraction thereof. Schools arriving without the appropriate number of judges will have to reduce their entries. 

Judges are required to make debate tournaments happen. Please have all your judge slots covered.  If you will be short, a missing judge fee of $125 will be applied.  We may have some judges available for hire at $100 - please contact me in advance if you need to hire judges.
