UMW Tournament Info – 10-8-15

UMW Debate is looking forward to you joining us! A few important items:

Prefs

They have been open for a couple of days now, and will close at 3 pm on Friday.

Registration

We are not doing in-person registration.

You need to email Adrienne (adri.debate@gmail.com) by 5 pm to confirm your entry.

If you have changes, please email as soon as possible on Friday afternoon.

Please make sure to send your registration email in a timely fashion – our hope is if all entries/changes are known by 5 pm, we can put the pairings out by 7 pm.

Campus Information

We will be using the following buildings on Saturday and Sunday:

Varsity – Combs, 1201 William

JV – Combs, Annex A

Novice – Annex A, Trinkle***,

On Monday, all elims will be in Combs.

Our backup building in case of a room situation will be Monroe. Please acquaint yourselves with those building locations on the campus map.

***Trinkle Water Outage on Saturday***

Unfortunately, we were just informed this morning that there is a scheduled water outage for Trinkle on Saturday from 8 am – 2 pm. We ask that you inform novices and your judges that they will need to use restrooms in the nearby Annex A building. We will also be stocking additional water bottles in that building during that time period. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Parking

It is fall break, so there should be ample parking on the street (College Ave) and in the parking lot on the left when you enter the main entrance gates.

Campus Internet

UMW has a guest network. You will need to register by creating a guest login that should work for the duration of your visit.

Hospitality

There will be light snacks in the mornings, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and a light appetizer reception on Sunday evening. Hospitality will operate out of Combs.
