The 2022 Canyon County Classic Invitational

November 4-5 at Skyview High School, Nampa 

Please consider joining us for two days of speech and debate competition, hosted by Skyview HS.  We are a NIETOC designated tournament and will offer speech on Friday and debate on Saturday.

Speech:  Varsity only division in all 14 IHSAA events.  We will recognbize the top novice in each speech event as well.  The IHSAA event link to the event desciption is on each page when you click on the event boxes on the right of the tabroompage.  Panel topics for this eventg are now posted.

Congress:  Please note we will be using the new NSDA rules for Congress, including the direct questioning options well as preset recency presidence.

For Congress, we will use the D3 Fall legislation packet and that document is on the home page of this website.  For Super Congress (finals) we will use the October NSDA packet and the link is here:

Debate:  For LD and PF, we will use the Nov/Dec NSDA topics.

Policy:  Due to low entry numbers, policy has been dropped for both varsity and novice divisions.and the national policy topic.

Awards:  We will award those that place in the final speech rounds, the top 3 in those that do not go to speech finals, and those that achieve the Gold/Silver rounds in debate.  We will also recognize the top teams in sweeps as well as the top school in squad efficiency (you must have at elast 10 total entries to qualify for recognition for efficiency recognition).
