Colleagues and Competitors,

The Coppell High School Speech and Debate Team cordially invites you to the Coppell Classic, our 21st annual TFA qualifying tournament, January 7-8, 2022. Last year, we drew nearly 600 folks from 6 states, and we look to grow again. 

The ENTIRE TOURNAMENT has shifted on an online format.

Coppell - All Events - Jan. 7-8 (Synchronous)

Coppell 9th - Individual Events Only - Jan. 7 (Asynchronous) 

In the main tournament, we will offer varsity competition in CX, LD, WSD, PF, Congress, and speech events. We will also offer novice CX, LD, PF, and Extemp. Debate will feature 4 preliminary rounds beginning Friday afternoon. Congress will be held on Friday. Live/asynchronous speech events will be held on Saturday. The tournaments will offer TFA and NIETOC qualifying points. 

We also offer a swing tournament (Coppell 9th). This tournament will feature all asynchronous individual events that offer NIETOC and/or TFA qualifying status and will be offered virtually.

We promise to provide the best hospitality we can, a relaxed schedule, qualified hired judges in all events, and an efficient tabulation staff with many decades of collective experience. Registration is now open. Wait lists will be available as necessary. The (revised) regular entry deadline is Friday, December 29 at 5:00pm Central.
