UPDATES

As of 2/14/2021:

·       Our entry deadline passed on Friday. We are unable to accept new entries at his point. Teams must have their judges entered on Tabroom by 7:00PM CENTRAL TIME on Tuesday, 2/16.

As of 2/2/2021:

·       TBA entries have been deleted from the tournament. Moving forward, in order to be accepted off of the waitlist, and entry must have students attached. 

·       Our window to request judge hires through the tournament page has closed. It is unlikely that I will be able to honor any request from this point forward to hire a judge through the tournament, but should you encounter a profound need for assistance on that front, please reach out via email to discuss your special circumstances literally as soon as it is possible to do so.

 

REMINDERS

·       As per the invitation, for the 2021 Milo Cup, the tournament cannot accept independent or unaffiliated entries. In order to be eligible to compete in our tournament, a team must meet two standards: (1) a responsible adult who can be contacted in the event of any problems throughout the tournament MUST be the point of contact on each school entry, and (2) all competitors are HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS competing with the blessing of their degree granting institution and coach/school sponsor. These standards are simply non-negotiable.

Year in and year out, we run one of the best and most consistent tournaments in the country.

·       Single-flighted rounds

·       6 prelims in PF and LD with ALL 4-2 and better records clearing to elims

·       Helpful, responsive, and independent tournament administrators

Date & Host Site

The tournament will take place on NSDA Campus via Tabroom.com on February 19-20, 2021, with all events starting competition on Friday, February 19.

Events

We offer open competition in Congressional Debate (no entry cap at present), Lincoln Douglas (entry cap at 170), Policy(entry cap at 40), and Public Forum (entry cap at 170). 


Lincoln Douglas, Policy, and Public Forum will be held on the NSDA Campus platform, and Congressional Debate will be held on Zoom (a link will be distributed the week of the tournament).

The Milo Cup at Millard North is a:

·       QUARTERFINALS BID to the Tournament of Champions in Gold Public Forum

·       OCTOFINALS BID to the Tournament of Champions in Silver Public Forum

·       TOP 6 BID to the Tournament of Champions in Congressional Debate

·       FINALS BID to the Tournament of Champions in Lincoln Douglas
