Dear Coach:

You and your students are invited to the VIRTUAL Harold C. Keller Invitational Debate and IE Speech Tournament, on Saturday, December 5, 2020 hosted by West High School’s NSDA Chapter 1677.

The following events will be held: Student Congress, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Mixed Extemporaneous Speaking, and Humorous, Dramatic, Duo, Program of Oral Interpretation and Spontaneous Speaking. We will be using the December debate topic for LD and PF Debate.

Please note the following entry restrictions. Students may double enter in any two individual events, with the exception of LD and PF. Those students entering Congress may only enter in that event. It is the student’s responsibility to make it to rounds on time.

We will do synchronous (live) speech. Debate events will be synchronous.

Judges

Judges need to be furnished according to the following criteria, one judge for every 1-2-3 entries in LD and PF. One judge for every 1-2-3-4-5-6 entries in IE’s and Student Congress.

Half or partial judges are not allowed. The names of the judges provided must judge their assigned rounds.

Entry Fees

Duo teams and Public Forum teams are $20 per team. All other entries are $10 each. The hired judge rate is $100 per judge. Judges must be hired, all entries must be submitted, and congress bills submitted by December 1, 2020 by 5:00PM.

You may enter the tournament on Tabroom at http://hckinvitational.tabroom.com/. Please contact me if you have any questions about how to do this.

Please make checks out to:
