Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for your interest in attending the First Annual Lovejoy-Rock Hill Swing Tournament to be held October 2-3, 2020. In addition to being a TFA qualifier on both the Lovejoy and Rock Hill sides of the tournament, the Lovejoy side is also a NIETOC qualifier. Starting competition at this early date is a great way to get a jump on earning TFA points and NIETOC bids, while also being a great experience for your novices to have a successful start to forensics.
We are excited to venture into the world of online tournaments this year. All individual events (sans extemporaneous speaking) will be asynchronous. Video links will need to be submitted on Tabroom.com by Tuesday, September 29, 2020 by 9pm. Asynchronous prelims (multiple rounds) will run on Wednesday and Thursday will all ballots assigned due by Thursday at 6pm. Semifinals will be asynchronous on Friday, with ballots due by 6pm. Finals will be judged on Saturday. Extemporaneous speaking and all debate events will begin on Friday and continue into Saturday. We are excited to offer every TFA speech and debate contest, Prose, Poetry, and a slew of options for your novice competitors.
