The 2013 Ridge Invitational

2013 — NJ/US

Welcome to the 2013 Ridge Invitational

The Ridge High School Speech and Debate Team would like to invite you to the ninth annual “Ridge Invitational.”  Last year, we welcomed 41 schools from six states! We hope to continue offering a great alternate/additional tournament during the Emory and Columbia weekend.

We are offering all ten New Jersey speech events, Public Forum (3 divisions),  Lincoln-Douglas Debate (3 divisions), and Congressional Debate.

In addition, we will be featuring Radio Broadcasting which, we are hoping, will feature a final round panel of radio and television journalists!

As last year, awards will be presented to the top six competitors in each event, the top six schools, and the top non-advancing novice in each speech category. NEW THIS YEAR!  In events with more than 30 entries, we will feature a full 'novice' pull-out final round!

We will also be featuring our Ridge tradition of creative FINAL ROUND POSTERS for our champions!  Some past posters include

The top six schools will be receiving Sweepstakes awards along with a sweepstakes award for the highest achieving school with less than fifteen entries.  Please feel free to contact us regarding any clarification of rules or procedure.

To ensure a smooth and well-run tournament, we hope to have all registrations by
