Dear Colleagues,

     The Abbeville High Speech Team cordially invites you to attend the 16th Annual Speech/Debate Tournament!  Our tournament will be held Friday, November 22 through Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Abbeville, LA on the campus of Abbeville High School. We will try to offer you and your students a pleasant competition experience.

     Information about Judging Requirements, Sweepstakes, Concessions, the Schedule, and General Rules for the tournament can be found in various locations on the website.

We will offer the following events:

     Junior/Senior Divisions of: Oral Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Extemporaneous Speaking, Impromptu,  Duo Reading and Duet Acting

     Open Divisions of: Declamation, Original Oratory, POI, Congress and Public Forum

     We will also offer both NLD and ALD

Please note that Congress will take place on Friday, November 22 from 10:00am - 1:00pm.  At this time we will allow coaches whom wish to register early to do so.

   Debate topics being used for our tournament will be the topic for the month of November.

     We look forward to seeing everyone at our tournament and wish everyone the best of luck.  We would also like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
