Event Description:
Junior Varsity Policy Debate
1. This division is for students in their first two years of debate. If one member of the team is a 3rd-year debater, regardless of events debated, place the team in varsity
2. The format is switch-side. 8-3-5. Five minutes prep time.
3. National debate topic will be used.
4. Five preliminary rounds breaking to finals (If Needed). Rounds 1 and 2 will be pre-set. Rounds 3, 4, and 5 will be powered.
5. Awards are given through top 4.
6. A qualified adult judge must be provided for every two teams.
