Event Description:

SPAR will be run as a IE Event at the Phoenix Fire this year.

Competitors are given two topics and at the beginning of the round there is a coin flip. Winner picks Aff or Neg or topic, loser picks the other.

"Suzie wins the coin flip vs Joe, then picks the topic the Ice Cream is better than Cookies, Joe picks Negative and Suzie is assigned Affirmative."

Both sides get 5 mins to prepare and write down any notes and information. There is no prep time after this.

Affirmative Opening = 2 mins then Cross Examination for Neg = 1 min. Negative Opening = 2 mins then Cross Examination for = 1 min Aff Closing = 1 min. and Neg Closing =1 min.
